My Wellpoint Care Why- Board Treasurer Andrew Rebstock

For Board Treasurer Andrew Rebstock, it was a personal connection to Wellpoint Care Network’s mission of helping children and families thrive that drew him to the organization in 2020.
“I was adopted at a very young age by some loving parents, and I have felt very fortunate over the course of my life to have the opportunities that I’ve had because of that process,” he said. “I was at a point in my life and career where I was looking for an opportunity to serve on a Board, and Wellpoint Care Network caught my attention because I felt it was a way to give back to kids who may not have been as fortunate as I was.”

Now with a wife and two kids of his own, that mission resonates more than ever.
“I’ve always had my own personal experience that was motivating me,” Rebstock adds. “I knew I was lucky. And now that I have a three-year-old and three-month old at home, it gives a new lens of just how important it is to have a loving, supportive home.”
Since joining the Wellpoint Care Board, Rebstock says he has also appreciated learning about the organization’s commitment to Trauma Informed Care.
“It goes beyond just how we help people in our community, but what are the root causes that are leading families to be in the situations that they are in,” said Rebstock. “Additionally, the Five Pillars of Stability have been very eye-opening to me and how we can work on being more proactive in the future versus reactive.”
A young professional at Johnson Controls, Rebstock brings a fresh perspective to an organization rooted in 175 years of service and impact across Wisconsin.
“You don’t have to have decades of experience in order to give back,” said Rebstock. “Younger voices bring new ideas and viewpoints to help guide decisions, which is never a bad thing.”

He encourages those interested to learn more about Wellpoint Care Network’s array of services, and how we’re walking alongside children, families and communities.
“Wellpoint Care is a hidden gem in the community that’s improving people’s lives without them even knowing it,” adds Rebstock. “They continue to work to not only help kids in our community, but entire families.”
