Promoting Child & Family Well-being

Our Child and Family Well-being services include foster care, child welfare case management, care coordination and our Youth Transitioning to Adulthood (YTA) program. The goal is to bring stability to the lives of young people and their families engaged in or at risk of involvement with the child welfare system experience safety and stability, overcome trauma and thrive.

Using a trauma-informed perspective, we focus on five main areas, which we call the Five Pillars of Stability. Research and experience have shown that when individuals have their needs meet in these core areas of life – health, housing, education, employment and caring connections — they are more likely to succeed.

Through our partnerships with Wisconsin’s Department of Children and Families, Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services, Milwaukee County Behavioral Health / Wraparound Milwaukee and a broad network of community partners and organizations, we are committed to helping children and families move from safety to stability and ultimately thrive.
