A New CEO, but a Continued Commitment to Help Children and Families Thrive

By Reggie Newson | Posted on March 10, 2025

Friends, donors and community partners,

My name is Reggie Newson, and I’m honored to be stepping into the role of President and CEO of Wellpoint Care Network.

Let me start by introducing myself — my professional career has included work in both the public and private sectors, but through everything I’ve done, I’ve kept community building at the core of my ‘why.’

Some of my most memorable experiences have been fostering impactful partnerships and helping strengthen communities, and I’m excited to continue all of that with Wellpoint Care.

Most recently, I have served at Ascension Wisconsin, where my focus was improving healthcare access for vulnerable populations. I had the privilege to hold multiple roles in my time with Ascension, including serving as Vice President of Community Impact, as well as President of the Ascension Foundation of Wisconsin.

I had the great opportunity to spearhead public policy, unify teams and drive increased financial and community support. I am honored to bring this experience to my next chapter at Wellpoint Care Network.

My passions include creating opportunities, strengthening communities and enriching lives.

Ann Leinfelder Grove, the decades-long leader of Wellpoint Care, has laid the perfect foundation for me to tap into these passions in service of the organization’s goals. I couldn’t be more grateful for the impact she’s made on the organization and in our city, and I wish her the best in her retirement.

Wellpoint Care Network Executive Team

For decades, Wellpoint Care has been a cornerstone of our Milwaukee community, standing alongside countless children and families as they work to overcome the effects of trauma and adversity. We know these challenges run deep, but so does this organization’s passion and commitment to serving our neighbors.

I am humbled to be trusted with the responsibility of leading a team as influential and important to our community as Wellpoint Care Network, and I look forward to continuing the decades of hard work empowering children and families to thrive.

Thank you in advance for welcoming me into this incredible community. I can’t wait to get to work with you and our team here at Wellpoint Care Network. Together we will make a difference in the lives of children, families and communities here in Wisconsin.
