Wellpoint Senior Trainer Tim Grove Featured on New Podcast
Wellpoint Care Network Senior Trainer Tim Grove is featured in the first episode of Overloaded: Understanding Neglect, a new podcast from The Institute for Child and Family Well-Being. The podcast aims to build a shared understanding of how child neglect often occurs because families are overloaded by stress, and will serve as a foundation for future innovations in practice, policy and systems change.
With more than 25 years of experience in a variety of direct care and administrative positions, Tim is the senior leader of Wellpoint’s Trauma Informed Care initiatives across all programs, and was responsible for implementing trauma-informed philosophy and practices including Dr. Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). Tim also created a training curriculum centered around the Seven Essential Ingredients (7ei) of understanding and practicing Trauma Informed Care.
Join Tim, host Luke Waldo and future guests from child welfare and child maltreatment prevention programs across Wisconsin in reimagining how to prevent child neglect by supporting families overloaded by stress. Other guests include Jennifer Jones (Prevent Child Abuse America), Bryan Samuels (Chapin Hall), Dr. Kristi Slack (University of Wisconsin), Lived Experience expert Bregetta Wilson (Wisconsin Department of Children and Families) and many of Luke’s colleagues from Children’s Wisconsin.
You can listen to the complete debut episode of the Overloaded podcast starting Wednesday, September 21, then tune in each Wednesday for the rest of the series.
