Paid Time Off (PTO)
Wellness is important to us. Wellpoint Care encourages employees to take care of their own well-being. We offer a generous leave program based on length of service and position. Paid Time Off (PTO) starts at 19 days a year for hourly employees, 24 days a year for salaried employees and 29 days a year for supervisors.
Wellpoint Care Network offers several health insurances options to help meet the medical needs of our staff.
All of our plans utilize the same, broad network.
We also offer a Health Savings Account for those staff who enroll in a qualifying plan. If the employee contributes to that account, Wellpoint Care will also contribute to that account on a quarterly basis.
Critical Illness and/or Accident Protection Plan
Independent of our medical insurance, the Critical Illness Plan and the Accident Protection Plan are available to help reimburse members if they are diagnosed with a critical illness or are in a non-work-related accident
Coverage includes $1,000 for orthodontics for dependent children under the age of 19.
Enrollees have access to a large network of vision care providers and optical retailers.
Employees may establish a pre-tax savings account for dependent care and/or medical care in accordance with IRS annual contribution limits.
403(b) Retirement Plan
Employees are eligible to contribute to the Wellpoint Care Network 403(b) retirement plan immediately upon starting. After completing one year of service, they become eligible for the company’s generous matching plan.
Wellpoint Care Network offers two life insurance plans at no cost to the employee: Group Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment.
Group Term Life is valued at two times the employee’s salary. Accidental Death and Dismemberment is worth up to two times the employee’s salary. Full time employees are also able to purchase voluntary life insurance for themselves, spouse, and child(ren).
*The benefits listed above are in effect as of 2022. Benefits may change in future years. Some of these benefits are available only to full-time employees. Employees working at least 30 hours a week are considered full-time. Spouses, domestic partners and dependent children of full-time employees also are eligible to enroll in the benefit plan. Some of these benefits are available immediately, some begin after 30 days of employment and some begin after 90 days of employment.
