Wellpoint Care Network Promotes Internally for New Vice President of Child and Family Well-being
Wellpoint Care Network is excited to announce that Maria Andrade has been promoted and is the new Vice President of Child and Family Well-being.
Andrade has been a part of the organization since 2009, serving in several different roles from case management to administrative leadership. Most recently, she held the role of Director of Program Operations for Child and Family Well-being.
“Maria is an excellent choice for this important VP role,” said Ann Leinfelder Grove, Wellpoint Care Network President and CEO. “She knows Child and Family Well-being programming from all angles, due to her experience and passion for serving children and families with our mission, vision and values. She values creating a culture of support so that employees can thrive.”
In this position, Andrade will lead over 200 employees and support the programming in case management, foster care licensing, treatment foster care, youth transitioning to adulthood, supervised independent living, family services and child welfare administrative services.
“I’m excited to take on this new challenge because I have a passion for serving the underserved,” said Andrade. “I also have a passion for serving those that serve the underserved. To me, it’s very important to make sure our staff is well taken care of so that they can take care of the families in our care. I look forward to all the opportunities for change, both internally and externally.”
Andrade is also a member of several of Wellpoint Care’s diversity-related committees and has led the Mentor Program since its creation in 2019.
