Celebrating 175 Years of Building Opportunity, Strengthening Community and Enriching Lives
For 175 years now, Wellpoint Care Network has been a trusted and reliable partner to children and families across Wisconsin. Our story began with a simple but powerful commitment to serve, build opportunity, strengthen community and enrich lives. Over the decades, we have evolved, adapted and grown. But through it all, our mission to support the community’s ability to flourish and help individuals reach and maximize their full potential has remained the same.
It is a great honor to serve as President & CEO at Wellpoint Care Network. I have learned a lot from our amazing team of employees and leaders. With deep gratitude, it is a blessing for me to spend time with our strategic partners, stakeholders, community members and the families we serve in order to better understand how we can support their efforts and amplify their ability to thrive.
This October 2025, we mark Wellpoint Care Network’s 175th anniversary, and I am humbled to be a part of the celebration. Our roots run deep. We are one of the oldest and most respected organizations in Wisconsin. Our history is one of resilience, perseverance and innovation. From our earliest days providing a safe and stable place for orphans to live, to our expansion of community-based and well-being services to support individual’s ability to be self-reliant and independent, we continuously asked ourselves, ‘What does care look like in this moment?’ and ‘What does it need to be in the future?’ The spirit and pursuit of serving is woven into who we are and always will be.
Today at Wellpoint Care Network, we stand in the space of tradition and transformation. We are proud of our legacy, and we are committed to meeting the challenges of tomorrow. That means growing our reach and impact to improve the lives of those we serve by building and forming new strategic alliances and partnerships, because we cannot do this work alone.
Our vision will be bold, yet grounded, to create more opportunities that enrich lives and create a healthier, more resilient community that supports people’s ability to thrive. Achieving this will require both honoring the wisdom of our past and embracing innovation and new partnerships in the future. It will require a collective effort of like-minded organizations to walk this journey alongside us.
I am inspired by what has been built and energized by the unique opportunities that lie before us. Our next chapter is still being written and with your support, we will continue to share a future rooted in hope.
